The property is on 12 acres surrounded with lots of marked trails for easy hiking. We are 5 minutes from Cusheon Lake for great summer swimming and 10 minute drive to Ruckle Park, great for exploring the shore line, hiking, mountain biking and picnicking. We are 5 minutes from the village of Fulford and 10-15 minutes from the village of Ganges.

Mountain view is an ideal location for any season, whether you want to get out and do some of the many activities the island has to offer, drive around the well laid out Studio tour of our local artists or just sit back at the cottage and enjoy some quiet relaxing moments, this cottage has it all. Book a massage, take a kayak trip or book an evening at our local theatre: Artspring.

The warm summer months provide many opportunities to explore the island, from May to September we enjoy temperatures from 65 degrees to 95 degrees and then is cooler from October to April.

THE COTTAGE :

Fully self-contained 2 bedrooms with one queen and one bunk bed (double on bottom, single on top). Large view deck with a hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Saltspring Island.

THE KITCHEN: Mountainview has a fully equipped kitchen including standard size appliances for all your holiday needs. The cupboards are fully stocked with all your basic needs including dishes, pots and pans, a coffee maker, tea towels, etc.
We have supplied the basics including coffee, tea, honey, splenda, sugar, condiments and spices. There is a breakfast bar for additional seating.

THE DINING ROOM: Dining room has a 36” round oak table with 4 chairs and has a leaf with two additional stools for the extra company.

THE LIVING ROOM: The living room provides a cozy warm sitting area with vaulted ceilings along with two skylights that bring lots of light , fans for those warm summer evenings and a built in electric fireplace – so you don't have to light the fire! Double French doors onto the deck, comfortable seating and a diverse supply of reading materials. The living-room includes a TV/DVD/and CD player, we have equipped the cottage with several movies and CDs but please feel free to bring your own. There is additional sleeping space with a queen sized hide-a-bed.

THE MASTER BEDROOM: Our master bedroom has a queen size bed with 500 thread count percale sheets complete with a down comforter and reading lights either side of the bed and an armoire for your clothes during your stay. Look up and watch the stars through a skylight or open the French doors and let the soft breeze flow in while enjoying that early morning reading in bed. Make your way onto the deck for a dip in the hot tub, what a great start to the day!

THE SECOND BEDROOM: The second bedroom is equipped with a double and a twin bed stacked on top of each other with a ladder to the top bunk, reading lights in both with drawers under for storage during your visit. 100% cotton sheets with comforters on each.

THE BATHROOM: The bathroom has a large shower with lots of fluffy towels, a hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner and soaps for your stay .

THE DECK: The deck is fully enclosed with deck rails, has a variety of pine and wicker furniture, lots of lanterns for those summer evenings, a BBQ and a built in private hot tub. A perfect place for your morning coffee or a glass of wine to watch the sunset.
